Alhaitham also looks straight up those sci-fi rooms even with his theme. Kaveh too and now kinich with the straight up arcade retro aesthetic i love it Like the idea of dendro. Being a manifestation of knowledge what better example of it than our technology and not just plant life is really unique to me.
And then there's Collei and Tighnari. Won't be too harsh on them though, since it makes sense they are more plant like due to them being Forest Rangers. Even Emilie uses some technology in her kit, that lamp/perfume device.

Ajaw and Kinch really shares the relationship Sasuke and Naruto hold. With Naruto/Ajaw always being in competition or a feud with Sasuke/Kinch. Well it might be love for 8bit but also nostalgia. Back in the day, graphics were limited because computers were limited in their abilities. So, I think it's a little bit of both, but a LOT of nostalgia OMG THE CALL BACKS!!!!
I came back recently to the game, stopped playing around the time Nahida came out and this guy was on banner. I was attracted to the pixel art around him and pulled out of sport (had 40 wishes saved and was probably close to pity). Kinich popped out and then I heard the voices... so now I got a pixel art based character (I love pixel art games) with Sasuke's voice and Naruto's voice is in a small dragon that keeps annoying you. I haven't been in love with a character like this since Raiden Shogun with her bad cooking memes.

I have ALWAYS loved pixel art and 8-bit animations, along with the retro music. Also the fact that there have been fan-made projects on Genshin featuring 8-bit shows how popular the style is!

I know some people don’t really like the 8-bit and modern styles that are in Natlan, but I really like them, it’s nice to see genshin branching out to try more styles like this trailer. I'm definitely people. I'm happy for people that are enjoying the change of pace, but I personally just cannot vibe with any of the designs or the overall aesthetic of Natlan characters at all. They just feel like they belong in a completely different game, and are such a departure from previous design aesthetics that it's jarring and I just cannot see myself pulling for any of then regardless of how much they might powercreep previous characters. I'm just hoping that the Fatui entries and maybe 1-2 other characters diverge and don't embrace the same style, otherwise I'll just be rolling on rerun banners and otherwise waiting and hoping that Schneznaya has an art style I vibe with more. Again, happy for those that are into this style, and enjoy them, and in another game I might enjoy them as well, but I just cannot imagine any of these characters interacting with or being on the same team and fighting alongside our previous nations characters.

This is absolutely one of the best trailers y'all have ever released, and Kinich looks so ridiculously fun to play that I can't wait for him. Amazing animations, music, love the dynamic between the two... What a beautiful, unique trailer! The only complaint I have is his videos have been so short and I learned nothing new about him from this one, but it's so well done that I can forgive it. Just hope he gets an animated short like Mualani too, and way more screentime in the archon quest later.

As a animation student, I must study this trailer because holy mother of the Aeons- The perfect mix between 3D animation, 2D animation, Pixel art and VFX is AMAZING!!! They all fit so well together in a perfect place and time. The VFX is subtle in places but it's perfect to catch movement and give the illusion of speed and strength!! The pixel art is very very impressive as well! It's very difficult to do and so I'm sure the animations were working over time 😂😂😂 But honestly this is one of my favourite Genshin trailers

Can we appreciate the irony of how Gaming is more of a dancer than a gamer but Kinich is more of a gamer than a dancer? Kachina, Mualani, and Xilonen all dance during their idle animation but Kinich seems to be the only exception so far. Edit: Yes, Gaming’s name is pronounced as gah-meeng. I just found it funny how a word or name can seem like one thing but be something else. It’s like how a popular Filipino rice cake dessert is also a swear word in Spanish, or how K-Pop group names and fandom names might make sense in Korean but translate horribly in a different language (looking at you, EL7Z U+P and ILLIT). Language is funny and interesting when you understand how things can get lost in translation, like how many people mispronounced Gaming‘s name when he was first introduced. What in the world, the quality for Kinich's character trailer is like a version trailer.
The amount of effort that went into this, is INSANE
Can we appreciate the irony of how Gaming is more of a dancer than a gamer but Kinich is more of a gamer than a dancer? Kachina, Mualani, and Xilonen all dance during their idle animation but Kinich seems to be the only exception so far.
Edit: Yes, Gaming’s name is pronounced as gah-meeng. I just found it funny how a word or name can seem like one thing but be something else. It’s like how a popular Filipino rice cake dessert is also a swear word in Spanish, or how K-Pop group names and fandom names might make sense in Korean but translate horribly in a different language (looking at you, EL7Z U+P and ILLIT). Language is funny and interesting when you understand how things can get lost in translation, like how many people mispronounced Gaming‘s name when he was first introduced. Anyway, good luck to everyone who’s trying to pull for Kinich! May he come home soon!
